The School Leader Dilemma

You know your staff need to complete CPD training and you know they deserve the chance to grow professionally.

Wouldn't it be good for everyone not to make it feel like a tickbox?

As school leaders, you know that the most effective teachers are learners themselves, but we have all spent hours doing CPD that feels boring, repetitive, irrelevant and unimpactful.

DevelopED CPD was born from the idea of making continuous professional development more engaging and changing the perspective that it is increasingly getting as dull and a waste of time; we want to reframe CPD to be worth it.

Our approach is to make content that is structured in a way that allows teachers to guides them to what they need in order to make a difference to their practice and an impact in their classroom. We do this by writing courses and units that are carefully steered towards a focus question that a teacher needs answering, and delivering sessions using real voices instead of AI.

Long story short, we want to incentivise our teachers to learn and grow so that we have a more prepared and a more knowledgeable frontline in our classrooms and schools.

Making CPD not just another tickbox

How do we do it?

Our Lecturers

Focused

No more two-hour courses for one piece of information.

Our courses and units are specially written and structured so that teachers are able to identify what they need in order to improve their practice and knowledge. Each course is made of 12 units, which are also available individually as microlearning units. We don't want your teachers to have to sit through eight units to get to the ninth which is where their specific target or area for improvement sits.

It wastes precious time, which we don't have enough of, and it disengages them for when their turn comes.

We pride ourselves of considering the best way to approach our learning, identifying a focus question and golden threads throughout our units and courses that will guide you and your teachers to make informed choices.

Real and Engaging

No more disembodied AI voices.

Technology can be a wonderful thing and it's proving to be very useful in education. Our issue comes with the growing number of CPD courses for educators that use AI to produce lesson after lesson of monotonous, dull narration that makes us want to switch off before our first 'Click here to continue'.

In schools, we spend a lot of time and energy on making learning fun for pupils with real-life scenarios, expressive delivery and clear opportunities to reflect and apply what they are taking away from their lessons. We believe that educators themselves deserve the same.

Our units are curated and delivered by humans and we are always on hand.

Rewarding

No more CPD just to tick a box.

We have a passion for CPD and we feel strongly that it should be seen as an opportunity and a sign to an educator that they feel invested in. After years in schools ourselves, we don't want it to be seen as the course we have been told to complete and that we skip through without actually gaining from it.

Our method of conquering this, alongside making the units and courses more focused and guided so that teachers can have the autonomy and ownership to pick their own journey, is to reward those that complete courses with certification and access to conversations with their course facilitators and other educators. We believe teachers that finish a unit or course will benefit from being able to share their reflections and learn from the reflections of others.

Not only that, we have a programme of rewarding teachers, school leaders and schools that use DevelopED CPD with 'Reward Credits' that entitle the holder to choose their own unit or course to complete for free and with freedom.
